I have at least three different stories floating around about why I became a makeup artist.

The first one:

I became increasingly obsessed with creating a cosplay from my favorite podcast, and to ensure accuracy, I taught myself makeup.

The second one:

I stumbled across a makeup tutorial where a makeup artist turned himself into a high-concept version of Ursula the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid.

The third story is a long, gory tale of vengeance and romance involving several Eldritch Gods with unspeakable names.

All of these stories are equally true.
